Nope.
It's a new year, everyday, every moment. Change is the norm and you only need the courage to acknowledge your freedom to be thrown into everyday life that is not everyday life.
After a while with some practice, you'll forget who you were yesterday and remember who you are always.
I've come to learn that you don't need to retreat into the mountains, shave your head and wear robes to start a lifetime of spiritual growth. You can do it paying a mortgage building a white picket fence. There is no right or wrong way to approach truth. Surroundings will adjust accordingly to how you handle what is on your plate in front of you.
But enough of confirming an old superstition..
